I'm Hoping A 12 Hour Alcohol Awareness Class Online Is All It Takes

I just signed my son up for an alcohol awareness class he can take on his computer. He turned twenty-one a few months ago and I noticed that he had been going out to bars every week to drink. He said that he was just having fun, but I'm concerned that he's drinking too often. I talked to him about it and I tried to inform him about the dangers of drinking on a daily basis, but I think it would be helpful if the facts were backed up by an educated source. The good news is that he's willing to try an alcohol awareness class but he said that it had to be an at home learning experience. He wouldn't spend his weekends going to a classroom full of people he didn't know. I found a 12 hour alcohol and drug class online that is designed by practicing psychotherapist. It's full of all the facts, risks and repercussions of alcohol abuse. He agreed to spend an hour each night over the next couple of weeks taking the class on his laptop. There's nothing to print out so he can sit in his favorite recliner and learn the material. I hope by the time he's finished, he'll cut back on his drinking escapades.

This is an Amazing Online Alcohol Awareness Course

The 8 hour level 1 alcohol awareness classes that we took was an eye opener for me and my entire family. I guess I was having a hard time relating to the problem my brother was having with his drinking because I really didn't drink much at all. I think I could count the number of drinks that I had in the last five years on one hand. I never developed a taste for alcohol. I remember when I was a teenager I was all excited to try my first beer, but the taste was just not what I thought it should be so I rarely drank. Now I am a grown woman with two teenagers and my husband and I never drink, except for maybe a toast at a wedding. So when my brother started having problems, the concept of not being able to stop drinking alcohol was foreign to me. These classes really helped open my eyes to what he was going through and how we could help him.  I ordered the course online and we could sit down together and read through the material on our laptop when we had free time.  We didn't need to worry about taking the final exam, because it wasn't a court order, but we took it anyway and realized how much new information we had learned.  I'm trying to apply this information when I'm around my brother and am trying to get him to admit he has a problem.  It's an ongoing battle.

Being Court Ordered to Take an Alcohol Class Because Of My Rude Drunken Behavior!

I have been court ordered to take alcohol classes. I went out with my friends and get drunk, but at least I was not driving. We were responsible enough to have a designated driver who was sipping on soda water all night. The problem was that my friend got pulled over for outdated license tags on the license plate and being the loud mouth that I am, I got mouthy with the cop. I couldn't believe it when the officer asked me to get out of the car and they arrested me! I was then ordered to go to court, and I now have to attend a 16 hour level 2 alcohol awareness classes. When I am done, I get to have my record cleared. The alcohol class that I can take can be done online so that will save me some time, cost and the hassle of following someone else's schedule. I go to school during the day and work at Starbucks in the evenings, so I'll come home and take them late at night. Thank goodness I don't have to miss work to go to classroom because I really need the money right now. I definitely learned my lesson and will keep my mouth shut next time!

My Son Was Cited For MIP

I was so angry when I found out that my son was busted for underage drinking. The official charge was possession, and he had to take a 16 Hour Minor in Posession Class in order to fulfil his court ordered sentence. He had to take a 12 hour class and I am so thankful that there was a way to do this online. Even though the city offered their own class, I just did not have the resources to get him there for it. I am a single, working mother and I just don't have a lot of spare time. Maybe if I had more, my son would not have gotten into the trouble that he did. He did learn a lot from the online class, and I think he finally sees how his actions don't affect just him, but the 3 of us. I had to pay for the class out of my own pocket which meant that his sister didn't get to go on a class trip since I had to use that money. We are taking this one day a time, but those classes have really made a difference!

Guidance Counselors Can Learn How To Help Students With An Online Alcohol Drug Class

I had just started my job as a middle school guidance counselor. The first thing I did was go around to the class rooms and introduce myself to all the students. I wanted them to know who I was and to feel comfortable talking to me. I wanted them to respect me, but also know they could trust and confide in me with any social issues. After my introduction, I had a few students who would stop by my office just to say hello. Last week a student stopped in and asked me a few questions. I asked her to sit down and offered her something to drink. Once she relaxed a bit, she opened up to talk about the real reason she had come by. She wanted to know about alcohol. She said her friends were drinking a lot and she was scared to try it. I talked to her for a bit and when she left my office she said she felt better. I told her if she had any other questions she could come back. I immediately went online and signed up for an Alcohol Drug Class so I would be prepared to answer any questions the students had.  I've been setting time aside each day during my lunch hour to read through the material.  It's an interesting way to learn, convenient and highly educational.  I've been taking some notes and have learned a lot.
