He Was Charged with Minor In Possession

When my 16 year old son was charged with possession of a controlled substance, I was pretty shocked. I know that every parent thinks their child is really good, but it was true of mine. He is highly motivated, always thinks of others and has had good decision making skills.  Unfortunately, he made some new friends this year and and let peer pressure carry him down a path that he never should have been on. Thankfully, the judge recognized that based on his report cards, community service work, participation in the band and on student council, that this was not typical behavior for my son.  He told him that if he completed Minor in Possession Classes as well as additional community service, he would consider the case closed. He even suggested that my son could take them online so he could fit them in on whenever he had free time.  This will make it so he doesn't have to miss any school, band practice or his other daily responsibilities.  I was 100 percent in favor of that, and my son was very appreciative too. He learned so much during those classes that I don't think he will ever be caught with drugs again. In fact, I think he will end up helping those who are heading down that wrong path too.

Classes for Drug Education for Minors

A minor who has been caught with either alcohol or drugs is usually ticketed with a minor in possession charge. This can be a serious charge, or a minor one. Regardless of the seriousness of the charge, if it is the first offense, a minor will usually not have to spend much time in juvenile hall. Instead, a minor may have to take Minor in Posession Classes. These classes are designed to teach a person about the dangers of substance use and abuse. These classes will inform the minor how dangerous it is to drink or take drugs, especially at their young age while their brains are still developing. The criminal penalties for something as minor as possessing an illegal substance can be incredibly severe. This education often acts as a good deterrent to keep teenagers from repeating the behavior. Once the minor has completed this course in drug and alcohol awareness, their punishment is fulfilled and they can move on with their lives.

We Are So Thankful for a Merciful Judge and National Alcohol Class!

My younger son was killed in a car accident about six months ago. I can't begin to express the heartache our family has been going through.  My older son has especially had a hard time because the two of them were more like twins than brothers who were two years apart in age. When he was caught with some marijuana, it saddened us but it didn't really surprise us. We pleaded for mercy from the judge who oversaw his case, and I am so thankful that he has a compassionate heart. He understood the grief he was going through, but he still could not just excuse my older son's behavior either. Instead, he ordered him to take an online alcohol education class. He was allowed to just take the 8 hour course but my son actually decided to take the 24 hour course because he knew that he was going to need all the help he could get. This gave him something productive to focus on instead of the other thoughts that drove him to marijuana in the first place. This class helped more than anything else could have, and we are so thankful for that!

Alcohol Awareness Classes for My Son

My son is only sixteen years old and I found out that he has been drinking. I was lucky enough to find out from a friend instead of learning that he was drinking by him getting in an accident or in trouble with the law. I know that talking with him about how dangerous and illegal drinking is at his age is was not going to do me any good, so I thought that I would go online and see if I could figure anything else that I could do to get through to him. I found this website for Alcohol Awareness Classes and thought that it was perfect. He can take the classes from our computer at home and I can monitor what he's learning. Maybe he'll even open up to me and we can start an honest discussion.  The classes are low in cost and he can go at his own pace.  There's no rush, it's just an education I want to him to have.

Finding 8 Hour Level 1 Alcohol Awareness Classes

I was recently convicted of a DUI and I have to attend a DUI class or level 1 alcohol awareness class. I knew that it was going to be something that I would probably appreciate once I got through it, but was not liking the idea of having to miss work to get physically get their in time for 6 - 7 p.m. time slot. I also had to find one that was not far from my house because I am not allowed to drive for six months, so I have to rely on friends or public transportation. Unfortunately, the closest class was not located near any bus route and was a major inconvenience to get someone to take me to. I found the website for an online DUI class that seemed to be just what the judge had ordered. I printed out the course content and brought it with me to my meeting with the judge. He agreed that I could take this particular online course because it was legitimate. It was designed by a licensed and practicing psycho-therapist, was rated A+ from the Better Business Bureau and had all the same information that the classroom course includes. It's so convenient that I can take it from home and find it easy to use and interesting. This is definitely the way to get an alcohol and drug education!
