Defining You and Your Drinking With An Online Alcohol Awareness Class

by Dr. Ari Novick April 25, 2013

With an alcohol awareness class you can really determine if you are an alcoholic. It isn't easy coming to grips with that term. The question is, does your alcohol use negatively affect your life? Do you wake up in the morning hungover? Have you missed work due to a night of drinking? Do you ever have blackouts? If the answer is yes then it really doesn't matter how you want to label it, you need help. I know because I've been there. I lost my job, my family and was almost out on the streets when I finally decided to do something to get control of my life. I started with an AA meeting when someone suggested I try an online alcohol class as well. I'd been spending my days using the computers at the library looking for a job. I searched for an alcohol awareness class and decided to enroll. I was able to take it whenever I wanted, so whenever I felt low or like I really needed a drink, I'd login and read through the material. I'm telling you, learning the cold hard facts about what alcohol does to your body is enough to scare anyone straight. When I finished the class, I had a couple of questions. I was able to call the customer service line and they put me through to the doctor that made the program. He was a great help and I finally feel like a human again. I really recommend trying an alcohol class. You'll be thankful you did!

Alcohol Awareness Classes That Help You Stay Sober

by Dr. Ari Novick April 22, 2013

With 12 hour level 2 alcohol awareness classes you can really start to gain an appreciation for the dangers of booze. I know I did. You may not realize these dangers when you are drinking either because you just don't think it will happen to you or you are not aware them. What I do know, however, is that after these classes I started to see things a bit differently. I stopped looking at my drinking as a harmless way to blow off steam on the weekends. I mean, unless you consider Wednesday - Sunday the weekend, my drinking was obviously way out of control. I took a look around me and came to the conclusion that no one else I knew drank as often as I did, so my behavior was not normal.  Anyway, with a bit of education and some sorely needed honesty and introspection I figured out that my drinking couldn't continue. Recovery is going to be a process, but I know that as long as I remain vigilant in educating myself I stand a better chance of staying on the wagon.

MIP Classes Online: A Way to Save Money

by Dr. Ari Novick April 17, 2013

Do you have to take a minor in possession class due to a court order, legal requirements or for school? If you do, you will be happy to know that they are available to take from your computer at  MIP Classes Online. Taking them online is good for several reasons. First, it allows you to take them at your own convenience. You do not have to worry about taking them a set time like you would in a conventional class because they are available on your web-based computer 24/7. Second, it can save you money since you won't have the expense of driving to and from a traditional school. Third, there are no outdated curriculums or workbooks.  Online classes are completely up-to-date with the most current research and educational material.  They are more interesting than going to a crowded in-person classroom and you don't have to deal with the distractions from other students who aren't really interested in learning.  Online alcohol and drug awareness classes are the way to go!

Help Your Child with MIP Classes Online

by Dr. Ari Novick April 15, 2013

If your child has been in legal trouble recently and you need help getting them to turn around their behavior, MIP Classes Online may not only be court ordered, but can seriously help. Minor In Possesion (MIP) and Minor In Consumption (MIC) classes are offered online so your teenager can take them in the safety and relaxed atmosphere of his or her own home. Court requirements are stressful and costly, online classes alleviate the need for the parent to be available for driving, do away with a teacher's deadlines and allow the participant to go at his own pace.  When a course is successfully finished, a valid certificate of completion is provided to present to court, school administrators, and anywhere else it may be required.  Online alcohol and drug awareness classes teach minors the risks of drinking and what the long-term effects will be on their body and mind if they continue to indulge.  It's a good way to teach minors what they can say to their friends when they try to pressure them into drinking or taking drugs. They will also learn what the legal ramifications are of getting caught. Courses are available on the computer 24 hours a day, leaving you free to decide when it works best to fit them into your schedule.  Your child will grow from this experience and learn how to make more responsible decisions for a better future.

Taking a Stand with Drug and Alcohol Education Classes

by Dr. Ari Novick April 10, 2013

Drugs remain a prevalent issue in our society, and, unfortunately, many individuals suffer from drug or alcohol addiction and abuse. Fortunately, there are a number of ways available to assist these individuals with coping with their issues. There are many different in-person classes to take, one-on-one therapy and the most private and conveneient way which is to take an online alcohol awareness class from your own computer at home. The goal is to increase the understanding of the effects and harms of drugs and alcohol so that the addict can have some insight into the bigger long-term picture of what this lifestyle leads to. These classes are not limited to individuals who are experiencing addiction, but are a great proactive way to teach young people before they head down that path. Many parents find that an online 8 hour alcohol awareness class is good exposure before their teenagers leave to go off to college. Myths are dispelled, the facts of health implications are explained and the participant is left with many reasons to just say no. Classes are offered in different lengths, making it convenient for anyone's schedule, and the fees are affordable. Online alcohol classes are also available to fulfill court orders. So whether you are suffering from drug abuse or simply need to show the court a certificate of completion, give yourself a strong educational foundation on drugs and alcohol with an online class today!

I'm Hoping A 12 Hour Alcohol Awareness Class Online Is All It Takes

by Dr. Ari Novick April 9, 2013

I just signed my son up for an alcohol awareness class he can take on his computer. He turned twenty-one a few months ago and I noticed that he had been going out to bars every week to drink. He said that he was just having fun, but I'm concerned that he's drinking too often. I talked to him about it and I tried to inform him about the dangers of drinking on a daily basis, but I think it would be helpful if the facts were backed up by an educated source. The good news is that he's willing to try an alcohol awareness class but he said that it had to be an at home learning experience. He wouldn't spend his weekends going to a classroom full of people he didn't know. I found a 12 hour alcohol and drug class online that is designed by practicing psychotherapist. It's full of all the facts, risks and repercussions of alcohol abuse. He agreed to spend an hour each night over the next couple of weeks taking the class on his laptop. There's nothing to print out so he can sit in his favorite recliner and learn the material. I hope by the time he's finished, he'll cut back on his drinking escapades.

This is an Amazing Online Alcohol Awareness Course

by Dr. Ari Novick March 26, 2013

The 8 hour level 1 alcohol awareness classes that we took was an eye opener for me and my entire family. I guess I was having a hard time relating to the problem my brother was having with his drinking because I really didn't drink much at all. I think I could count the number of drinks that I had in the last five years on one hand. I never developed a taste for alcohol. I remember when I was a teenager I was all excited to try my first beer, but the taste was just not what I thought it should be so I rarely drank. Now I am a grown woman with two teenagers and my husband and I never drink, except for maybe a toast at a wedding. So when my brother started having problems, the concept of not being able to stop drinking alcohol was foreign to me. These classes really helped open my eyes to what he was going through and how we could help him.  I ordered the course online and we could sit down together and read through the material on our laptop when we had free time.  We didn't need to worry about taking the final exam, because it wasn't a court order, but we took it anyway and realized how much new information we had learned.  I'm trying to apply this information when I'm around my brother and am trying to get him to admit he has a problem.  It's an ongoing battle.

Being Court Ordered to Take an Alcohol Class Because Of My Rude Drunken Behavior!

by Dr. Ari Novick March 20, 2013

I have been court ordered to take alcohol classes. I went out with my friends and get drunk, but at least I was not driving. We were responsible enough to have a designated driver who was sipping on soda water all night. The problem was that my friend got pulled over for outdated license tags on the license plate and being the loud mouth that I am, I got mouthy with the cop. I couldn't believe it when the officer asked me to get out of the car and they arrested me! I was then ordered to go to court, and I now have to attend a 16 hour level 2 alcohol awareness classes. When I am done, I get to have my record cleared. The alcohol class that I can take can be done online so that will save me some time, cost and the hassle of following someone else's schedule. I go to school during the day and work at Starbucks in the evenings, so I'll come home and take them late at night. Thank goodness I don't have to miss work to go to classroom because I really need the money right now. I definitely learned my lesson and will keep my mouth shut next time!

My Son Was Cited For MIP

by Dr. Ari Novick March 18, 2013

I was so angry when I found out that my son was busted for underage drinking. The official charge was possession, and he had to take a 16 Hour Minor in Posession Class in order to fulfil his court ordered sentence. He had to take a 12 hour class and I am so thankful that there was a way to do this online. Even though the city offered their own class, I just did not have the resources to get him there for it. I am a single, working mother and I just don't have a lot of spare time. Maybe if I had more, my son would not have gotten into the trouble that he did. He did learn a lot from the online class, and I think he finally sees how his actions don't affect just him, but the 3 of us. I had to pay for the class out of my own pocket which meant that his sister didn't get to go on a class trip since I had to use that money. We are taking this one day a time, but those classes have really made a difference!

Guidance Counselors Can Learn How To Help Students With An Online Alcohol Drug Class

by Dr. Ari Novick March 14, 2013

I had just started my job as a middle school guidance counselor. The first thing I did was go around to the class rooms and introduce myself to all the students. I wanted them to know who I was and to feel comfortable talking to me. I wanted them to respect me, but also know they could trust and confide in me with any social issues. After my introduction, I had a few students who would stop by my office just to say hello. Last week a student stopped in and asked me a few questions. I asked her to sit down and offered her something to drink. Once she relaxed a bit, she opened up to talk about the real reason she had come by. She wanted to know about alcohol. She said her friends were drinking a lot and she was scared to try it. I talked to her for a bit and when she left my office she said she felt better. I told her if she had any other questions she could come back. I immediately went online and signed up for an Alcohol Drug Class so I would be prepared to answer any questions the students had.  I've been setting time aside each day during my lunch hour to read through the material.  It's an interesting way to learn, convenient and highly educational.  I've been taking some notes and have learned a lot.
