Addiction to alcohol can be a very dangerous problem, not only for the individual, but his family as well. Some people have a hard time admitting they have a problem, until they hit rock bottom. Sometimes it unfortunately takes an incident in which the law gets involved to get the person into some sort of educational program for rehabilitation. Many judges now allow the offender to take the class the online rather than in a traditional classroom setting. This way the individual can take them at his or her own pace and not have to worry about missing work or school to attend an in-person class. When the class is finished, a certificate of completion is given to show that the court ordered requirement was met. When a judge sees a candidate who is struggling with addiction, he will often order classes such as this to help the person learn to understand and overcome their addiction.
