The company where I work at is really strict when it comes to employees doing anything illegal. I work at a small family owned business as a human resource manager and my job is very important to me so I take the owner's concerns seriously. One day the owner said he wanted to raise employee awareness as to the dangers of prescription drugs because he just found out his sister was addicted to pain killers. I found a company that provided work place safety seminars and asked them about online drug and alcohol classes for our staff. Thankfully, the company provided this sort of service and I had everything arranged for employees to log in to the class the next day. The class touched on areas such as drug usage, symptoms of addiction and where to go for treatment. I thought the online drug and alcohol classes were helpful and it definitely made the employees more sensitive to this problem.
