They allow students to complete the course at their convenience. The classes also teach stress management which is an important part of drug or alcohol abuse. Level 1, level 2, and level three alcohol awareness classes are offered which completely cover the cause and effect of alcohol abuse and how to heal from addiction.

When I Was Required to Take Online Alcohol Classes

I was ordered to take an alcohol and drug awareness class by a judge. I had two DUI convictions in two years. Yes, I clearly had a problem. I was getting help but it was a struggle. I had a hard time quitting drinking. For awhile I would just give the keys to my car to my neighbor and drink at home. It was bad. One night I ran out of beer and found a spare key I had forgotten about. That was my second conviction. I have been sober since. I have to go through these classes, but I am glad they are available online. A friend of mine who does not drink told me that he took the same class as part of his employment. His employer made all of the employees take drug and alcohol awareness classes online. He said he used to drink but stopped some time back before we met. I need to be able to keep saying that I don't drink anymore either.

Mom Can Be Proud of Him

My mom had my little brother late in life. She was nearly 45 years old, and I was raising my own daughter when he was born. I tried to help her with him as much as I could, but I was exhausted myself from being newly married, a new mom, and working a full time job. My dad was working away from home most of the time as a truck driver, and mom has never been in good health so he was more like my son than my brother. When he got older, he didn't have a lot of discipline at my mom's because she was always so tired. He got in trouble and we were all so grateful that he was only ordered to take a minor in possession class.  He was caught with drugs, but we believed him when he said they were not his. Those classes actually changed his life around, and he has become a son my mom can be proud of.

He Teaches from His Experience

When my friend's son was arrested on drug charges, we thought he would be in a lot of trouble. The District Attorney had said he was waging a war against drugs, so we feared the worst. We were all grateful that the judge considered that he had no prior record and he was reacting to his father's death. The judge seemed to really understand and sympathize with his behavior and ordered him to take an alcohol and drug education class which he gladly did. He knew he had messed up, and he was grateful for the chance to redeem himself. He actually did a lot more than that. He decided to make a career out of his experiences and became a drug counselor himself when he became an adult. He has helped so many young people when they have made a life changing decision in the wrong direction.

Take Online Drug and Alcohol Classes

If you are someone who has been court ordered to take drug or alcohol classes as part of your probation, you can take an online alcohol and drug awareness class from the comfort of your own computer. There are MIP (Minor In Possession) courses as well and when the class is finished, you will receive a certificate of completion. Drug and alcohol classes are very informative and offer the knowledge of these addictions in an easy to follow course. These classes are also useful for individuals that are required to take them for employment or health insurance reasons. They vary in price and are offered in different packages, based on the amount of hours you are required to complete. This is a good alternative to sentencing and provides useful information, which is extremely beneficial to minors that may be facing a possession charge. Completing these courses will allow you to move forward in a positive way.
